Miscellaneous Stuff!

A little clip from The Far Side, by Gary Larson. I love birds of prey.
Coool.

Another little offering from The Far Side. One of my life mottos.
Gotta Be Me

A strip from one of my favorite comics, Berke Breathed's Bloom County. Cutter John rules.
Boo.

Another Bloom County strip, from Bloom County Babylon: Five Years of Basic Naughtiness. Opus is adorable, and he's definitely got the right idea about people who use their negative views as a means of getting attention.
LEFT WINGERS!!

The ones where the meadow gang plays Star Trek are some of the best Bloom County strips.
Coool.

Another Bloom County one. "Life is simply too lunatic as it is."
Do the Dew!

The cover to Humberto Ramos's Crimson #2, depicting Alex and Joe out for a walk. Also known for his work on Impulse, where I first saw his art, Ramos is another of my favorite American comic artists/creators.
City night.

Crimson, Issue 3. Alex vs. the Queen B, Rose the Puppet.
Put some clothes on!

The cover to Crimson Issue 7. This was the first Crimson issue I read, and remains one of my favorite comic images and one of my favorite comics period. Alex meets the angels.
Judgement.

The cover to Crimson Issue 13, featuring Zophiel, the fallen angel. Gorgeous coloring on this one.
Ooooh...

A piece from Heroes, a collection published by Marvel to benefit and remember the 9-11 tragedy. A powerful image, done by McFarlane, Quesada, and Isanove. This poem by Kevin Smith accompanied the piece.

A Hero's Thoughts

No toll,
No price,
No loss greater than this:
One of Our Own.

No smoke,
No flames,
No challenge greater than this:
To maintain hope.

No oath,
No pledge,
No vow greater than this:
To never give up.

A Hero's Thoughts.

Nathan Burblepinch, the villain of the first issue of Rosearik Rikki Simons and Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons's comic Ranklechick and His Three-Legged Cat. The husband and wife team are also known for the comic Reality Check, and Rosearik Simons is loved by many for his role as GIR in Invader Zim, along with being the the show's colorist.
I want a candy cane.

Biruka from the anime Nazca. I love the costume design on this series, and the opening rendition of...Beethoven, I believe, is incredible.
Feathers rock.

A panel from Clerks: The Comic Book, written by Kevin Smith with art by James Mahfood. Look closely. There's a very familiar title on the bottom shelf of comics in the background!
Squee!
